Step into the enchanting world of 2TinCans Philippines as they proudly announce their much-anticipated 10th-anniversary celebration with a spectacular production of the whimsical musical, “Seussical.” Cebu’s premier theatre communications company invites you to join the festivities on February 24 to 25 at the CENEWOF Theater, located within the Marcelo Fernan Press Center in Lahug, Cebu City.
“Seussical” takes audiences on a fantastical journey into the colorful universe created by the iconic Dr. Seuss. The production features beloved characters from timeless stories such as “The Cat in the Hat,” “Horton Hears a Who,” and “Gertrude McFuzz.” Immerse yourself in vibrant characters, imaginative storytelling, and unforgettable music that promise to captivate audiences of all ages.
This milestone production not only marks a decade of excellence in the theatre arts for 2TinCans Philippines but also serves as a testament to their unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality productions. The show features the 2TinCans Theatre Company and the musical theatre students of 2TinCans Theatre Lab, showcasing a blend of talent that promises a magical experience for the audience.
According to Sarah Mae Enclona-Henderson, the founder, and producing artistic director of 2TinCans, “The theatre has the power to touch and transform people’s lives, and in 2TinCans, we want every experience to entertain, educate, and empower. Theatre must be accessible to young audiences, and we hope that by producing musicals like ‘Seussical,’ we will be able to bring that theatrical experience to many Cebuano families.”
Directed by Henderson, with dance direction by Vincent Paul Diez Gaton and vocal direction by Apple Abarquez, “Seussical” boasts a stellar cast. Dave Feril plays the mischievous Cat in the Hat, while Fia Mikaele Cagulada and JT Ecube alternate as Jojo. Horton the Elephant is alternately played by Clark Yonson and Coco Caballes, Gertrude McFuzz by Judee Kriselle Rallos and Isabel Mendero, and Shanice Kae Suarez plays the Amayzing Mayzie.
