A new Filipino stage play is set to bring laughter, drama, and pride to the local theater scene. ATENG, written by award-winning playwright Vincent A. DeJesus and directed by Rem Zamora, will run at Rampa Drag Club every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from November 14 to December 7, 2025.
Set in Marikina in 2005, ATENG tells the story of Juicy, a small-time impersonator who struggles to pay her electric bill after spending her money on her charming but unreliable boyfriend, Onyx. Her older sister, Kiwi, steps in to confront Onyx and collect what’s owed. What begins as a simple argument soon turns into an emotional confrontation about love, dignity, and queer identity. Through humor and heart, ATENG reveals how three characters find strength and pride amid life’s storms.
The play features an exciting cast of talented performers: Kokoy De Santos and Dyas Adarlo as Onyx, Jason Barcial and Io Balanon as Juicy, and Thou Reyes and Vincent De Jesus as Kiwi. Each actor brings a unique energy to the story, making every performance a fresh and powerful experience.
