OPM pop-rock stalwarts Truefaith are back with a new music video…with an old-time twist. Their latest single “Uwian Na,”off their latest album “sen+imen+al,” was launched last year as the band was preparing for its 25th anniversary concert held at the Music Museum. A year later the songsmiths of smooth pop are set to launch its accompanying music video. Helmed by long-time music video director and visual effects specialist Adrian Arcega, “UwianNa” takes the viewer a trip down memory lane, paying tribute to the original Queen of Philippine Showbiz Talk Shows Inday Badiday as well as 80s Philippine TV entertainment. The music video is also the first in the country to utilize face-swapping technology, also
known “deepfaking,” sweeping the internet today. Deepfaking is the process where an actor’s face is superimposed onto another person using artificial intelligence-based
technology. Also appearing in the video are iconic actors Ricky Davao, Rey ‘PJ’ Abellana, and Yayo Aguila. Truefaith will hold a launch party for the “Uwian Na” music video on Friday, October 4 at 12Monkeys Music Hall & Pub at El Pueblo, Ortigas. Show starts at 930pm. For aficionados of physical copies of music, “sen+imen+al” CDs will be available at the gate. Entrance to the party is free. Opening the show is cyberwave band Stereodeal.
