On October 1, 2024, the MiraNila Heritage House & Library proudly presents “Strings of Gold: The Manila Symphony Junior Orchestra Returns Triumphant from Europe,” a highly anticipated concert celebrating the MSJO’s recent success in Europe.

The Manila Symphony Junior Orchestra (MSJO) recently took home the gold prize and Grand Prix at the 13th Bratislava International Youth Music Festival in Slovakia, marking their first participation in the event. The MSJO also won the top prize at the 2024 Summa Cum Laude International Music Festival in Vienna, Austria, for the second time, outperforming 140 orchestras from 33 countries.

  • Time: 6:00 PM – House opens; 6:30 PM – Concert begins
  • Venue: The Gallery MiraNila, 26 Mariposa Street, Brgy Bagong Lipunan Crame, Quezon City

The evening will feature a string repertoire of classical masterpieces by Josef Suk, Antonio Vivaldi, and Antonín Dvořák, alongside popular works by Andrea and Ennio Morricone, Harold Arlen, and Ryan Cayabyab. Filipino favorites by Conrado del Rosario, BINI, and Benny Castillon will also be performed, offering an eclectic blend of musical genres.

About the Manila Symphony Junior Orchestra (MSJO): MSJO is the premier string orchestra training program of the MSO Foundation, composed of talented students aged 9 to 26. MSJO members are recognized globally, having toured Austria, Germany, Italy, Korea, and more. Many are currently studying at top institutions such as The Juilliard School and Mozarteum University.
