Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) is delighted to announce an extension of the highly anticipated One More Chance, The Musical, due to an overwhelming demand that led to sold-out tickets months before the show’s debut. Responding to the fervent excitement from fans, PETA has added more shows, extending the musical’s run from April 12 to June 30 at the PETA-Phinma Theater in New Manila, Quezon City.

Originally scheduled to close on June 16, 2024, the extended run aims to accommodate the insatiable appetite for this unique musical experience. Tickets for this eagerly awaited production were initially released in early February through TicketWorld, with an exclusive pre-sale for Metrobank, PETA’s co-presenter and official bank partner.

The response was nothing short of phenomenal, with close to 1,800 tickets sold within the first hour of the pre-sale. By the conclusion of the three-day pre-sale, over half of the tickets for the 50-show run had been swiftly snapped up.

Expressing gratitude for the unprecedented turnout, Maribel Legarda, the director of One More Chance, The Musical and PETA’s artistic director, emphasized the rising success and economic boom within the local theater industry.

Legarda shared her excitement, stating, “We’ve chosen to put together two Pinoy icons, One More Chance and Ben&Ben, to tap into and develop new audiences outside the regular mainstream musical theatergoers.”

About One More Chance, The Musical:

This musical adaptation is based on the 2007 ABS-CBN Film Productions, Inc. motion picture, One More Chance. Going beyond the iconic love story of Popoy and Basha, PETA’s rendition promises a more nuanced and expanded experience, enriched by the emotionally charged songs of Ben&Ben, including their smash hits Kathang Isip, Araw-Araw, and Leaves.

Audiences can anticipate a more profound exploration of various lessons and themes from today’s perspective, nearly two decades since the film’s premiere. Playwright Michelle Ngu-Nario emphasized the inclusion of depth in exploring relationships, life choices, and relevant societal issues, including mental health.

The musical boasts an impeccable cast, featuring Sam Concepcion and CJ Navato as Popoy, and Anna Luna and Nicole Omillo as Basha, among others.

One More Chance, The Musical is presented by PETA, in collaboration with Metrobank and Robinsons Malls.
